Thursday 19th March 2026 - The Strategic Banking Corporation of Ireland (SBCI), the State’s promotional financial institution for improving SME access to finance, has appointed Colin Moran as its Chief Executive Officer.
The appointment followed a recruitment process that was open to external and internal candidates.
Mr Moran joined the SBCI in 2022 as its Head of Lending.
He previously spent over 20 years with Bank of Ireland in a range of senior positions across its Corporate Banking, Business Banking and Retail divisions.
He is a member of the Management Board of the European Association of Long-Term Investors; a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA); and a member of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland.
His appointment takes effect immediately.
