The SBCI has today published its Mid-year 2020 update charting its progress to date and reporting on the performance of current SBCI risk-sharing schemes.
Latest figures show strong progress in both the Covid-19 Working Capital and Future Growth Loan schemes as 1,065 SMEs benefitted from €180m in SBCI low-cost funding in the three months to August 2020.
The update also details that the SBCI has provided €1.7bn in funding to 32,000 SMEs since it commenced operations in March 2015. The emergence of risk-sharing as a key support for SMEs has continued in 2020 with a further €500m in capacity added to the Future Growth Loan Scheme and the launch of the Government’s €2bn Covid-19 Credit Guarantee scheme.
